WARNING

We would like to inform to all conference attenders that, at your arrival, the National Customs Service will ask you to fill a declaration form (AFFIDAVIT) associated with any animal or vegetal products that you are bringing to Chile, no matter how small it is. This is a very serious issue for the Chilean Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG). For instance, if you are carrying a simple snack of dry meat that you don’t declare you may be stopped at the Customs office and you may get a fine that starts approximately at US$ 240.

Extends the Acceptance / Revision of Papers to 04th October 2010

As you know, the coming Saturday July 31st is the deadline for submitting all articles that will be presented to the 5th ICEGE.

Although we have already received many full papers, we have also been asked by an important number of authors for an extension of the deadline.

Because it is our concern that most of you can participate of this Conference we have agreed to extend the limit for submission to Monday August 16th, 2010.

The Copyright Transfer Form is attached. Please fill it and submit it together with your paper.

ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION POSTPONED TO APRIL 2nd, 2010

After the earthquake that affected our country recently, we have received several requests asking for additional time to submit abstracts. Hence, we have deferred again the deadline for submission. The new deadline will be April 2nd, 2010.

We have received several requests asking for extra time to submit abstracts for the 5th International Conference on Earthquake Geotechnical Engineering. Hence, in order to attract more participants, and considering that the bulletin calling for the abstracts may not have been well conveyed, we have deferred the deadline for submission of abstracts to February 15th, 2010.
